Before you can manifest what you want in life, you must have a clear vision of what that is.
For years, I was unfocused about what I wanted in life. As a result, the world I created reflected that confusion. And boy, was it frustrating!
But as soon as I gave myself the time & space to craft a clear vision of what I wanted, things started to change, & they changed fast.
In the span of a week I quit my job, left my PhD program, filed for divorce, sold all my stuff, & bought a plane ticket to Brazil.
Your vision probably won’t require such drastic changes, but the same principles apply: You need to get clear.
So, how can you start getting clear?
One simple way to do this is by creating a “Vision board.”
A Vision Board is a collage of images, phrases, & words that serve as a visual representation of what you want out of life.
Vision Boards help to ignite clarity.
It’s one thing to say “I want to be happy in life,” but what does that look like?
“Being happy” doesn’t look the same for any two people. For me, it’s reaching people through coaching, but for you it may be reaching people through singing, dancing, teaching, or cooking.
Vision boards help to reinforce intentions.
By writing a few words about the images you’ve placed on the board, you set a clear intention for your vision.
For example, if you’re a singer, you may have an image of a microphone with the words, “I will inspire people through my music” written underneath it.
You can also include affirmations that support these intentions.
If the voice in your head is saying, “My voice isn’t good enough,” then an affirmation that can be placed on your vision board is, “My voice inspires people.”
While Vision Boards can certainly be crafted out of paper & glue, Pinterest is actually an awesome way to create an accessible, easily updated, virtual Vision Board.
All you have to do is set up an account, label a board “My Vision Board” & start pinning! It’s pretty straight forward, & a great way to start clarifying what you want out of life.

Remember: To manifest what you want, you must first get clear. The more clear you can be, the better.
